Jay Raney, proprietor of Media Graphic Design in Pulaski, is a professional graphic designer who has been in business since 1999. But until recently, his Internet bandwidth was stuck in 2004. Up until a year ago, Raney had to settle for a DSL connection offered locally by BellSouth successor AT&T and cable provider Charter Communications. Because most of his clients are out-of-state, Raney was forced to slug through sending and receiving high-resolution images at speeds inferior to those enjoyed by teenagers in Hong Kong.
PES Energize Wins National Award
The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) has named PES Energize the 2007 Community Broadband Network of the Year. NATOA is a national association that represents the communications needs and interests of local governments, and those who advise local governments.
PES Energize Launch
On Friday, March 23, PES is proud to announce the formal launch of the PES Energize fiber-to-the-home system. After years of preparation, this state-of-the-art broadband network is built and fully activated. Every home and business in Pulaski, and several nearby sub-divisions, have access to this 100% fiber-optic network that provides nearly 260 TV channels, up to 20Mbps Internet access and full-featured digital-quality telephone service.
