PES Weathers the Storm

This weekend’s weather did not create significant problems for Pulaski Electric System. PES responded to seven outages over the weekend.  The largest affected 1,005 customers early Sunday morning.

The first outage call came in at 4:20PM on Saturday, May 1.  Crews worked four outages affecting 52 customers Saturday night.  A major outage began Sunday morning at 7:15AM. This outage affected residents living north of the City of Pulaski.  Power was restored to the 1,005 residents after two hours and thirty-six minutes. A tree that fell into the power line serving a communication tower west of Highway 31 North caused the outage.  PES crews also responded to two smaller outages affecting a total of 24 customers on Sunday.

As of Monday morning, PES is working under normal operating conditions.  PES crews are ready to assist other power distributors in Middle Tennessee affected by the weekend storms, but so far no requests for aid have been received.
